The Wine Standards Board became part of the Food Standards Agency in July 2006 which then assumed the task of enforcement of European Community wine regulations in the UK. These responsibilities are detailed in Statutory Instruments, The Wine Regulations, These are currently issued separately for England and each of the devolved regions: Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales but will be replaced shortly by a UK wide Instrument.
